This award recognises the senior executive team within a business that has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting and driving diversity, equity, and inclusivity within their organisation. Over the past 18 months, the team will have implemented meaningful initiatives, fostered cultural change, and championed inclusivity at all levels of the business. The team can be nominated by themselves or by a third party, but please ensure you have their permission to do so. Entry is by a five A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Team Background: Provide an overview of the senior leadership team, including roles, skills, and expertise. Highlight their shared vision and their efforts for integrating diversity and inclusion into their decisions and efforts as a senior leadership team.
  • Key Initiatives and Impact: Summarise all initiatives that considered and integrated a diversity and inclusion lens, even if the goal wasn’t for DEI but instead used it as a business-as-usual consideration. Initiatives the team has worked on over the past 18 months. Include the objectives, outcomes, and measurable impact of these initiatives on the organisation and its employees. Where possible, provide comparisons to previous years to demonstrate progress.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Highlight how the senior leadership team has worked together and individually to overcome diversity and inclusion challenges and drive change. Showcase examples of their collaboration, decision-making, and leadership in fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Achievements in Diversity: Summarise the team’s contributions and achievements in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in their efforts as senior leaders. Include details of any innovations introduced and their benefits to the organisation, employees, or broader community.
  • Supporting Facts and Testimonials: Include any additional statements or facts that support the entry, as well as testimonials from employees, stakeholders, or other leaders within the organisation that illustrate the team’s impact and leadership.
