This award is open to professionals with less than five years' experience in championing diversity, equality, and inclusivity during this early stage of their career. The judges will look for evidence of exceptional contributions to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. They will evaluate creativity, initiative, and teamwork in driving meaningful change and adding value to the organisation. The individual can be nominated by themselves or by a third party, but permission should be obtained from the nominee in the case of third party nominations. Entry is by a five A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear details and evidence, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.
- Career Summary: A summary that describes the first five years of the nominee’s career to date, highlighting any relevant qualifications and their contributions to DEI.
- Key Achievements: Demonstrate the nominee’s achievements, what makes this individual stand out from colleagues (above and beyond what would be expected at this stage of their career), and how they have added value to their organisation by promoting inclusivity, addressing inequalities, and fostering diversity.
- Innovation: Include details of any unique efforts or initiatives introduced by the individual that successfully advanced DEI within their organisation or industry. Highlight any innovative use of resources or technologies in achieving these goals.
- Other Facts & Statements: Include any other statements or facts that support the entry, such as testimonials or a supporting letter from the nominee’s head of department or supervisor. Provide evidence of measurable impact and recognition of their DEI efforts.
