This award champions the exceptional achievements of a senior leader who has championed DEI in their organisation. The judges will be looking for experienced professionals who are driving significant contributions to build an inclusive workplace by demonstrating leadership, innovation, and excellence in their DEI efforts. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Career Summary: Provide a succinct overview of their career, highlighting milestones and major achievements. Showcase their evolution as a senior leader in driving DEI initiatives during their careers.
  • Leadership in Diversity, Equality & Inclusion: Demonstrate how the nominee has championed DEI within their organisation or the wider industry. Highlight how they use innovative methods, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to drive DEI while achieving business outcomes and inspiring others. Provide examples of initiatives they have led or contributed to that promote inclusivity, address inequalities, and foster a diverse workplace.
  • Impact on business outcomes: Outline the impact of the person’s leadership in DEI on the overall success and growth of their organisation, highlighting specific achievements. Highlight measurable outcomes, such as improved representation, cultural change, or innovative programmes supporting underrepresented groups.
  • Supporting Testimonials: Include testimonials from professionals connected to the nominee that speak to their DEI leadership qualities, impact, and overall contributions to the company and/or wider industry.
