This award recognises any medium organisation (50-249 employees) in Ireland that prioritises the creation of a diverse workplace culture and environment. The winner will demonstrate excellence in providing a professional, supportive, and inclusive workplace that fosters a range of positive outcomes for the organisation and their employees. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to at least some of the criteria listed below.

  • The workplace community: Describe how initiatives have been successful at creating a diverse and inclusive workplace community including the climate for employee involvement, effective and supportive leadership, and opportunities for growth and recognition.
  • Social and wellness programmes: Describe the social, sporting, and health programmes in place that contribute to the workplace environment and how they positively impact DEI outcomes.
  • Diversity and environmental initiatives: Describe any diversity, environmental, and societal engagement programmes in place and how they contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Physical environment: Describe how the physical environment, including the technological infrastructure, impacts the workforce. Include a description of measures taken to create a comfortable and productive work environment for everyone.
  • Employee outcomes: Detail employee surveys that have been conducted and the results obtained (including up to four year-on-year comparisons) to indicate that employees, including those from diverse backgrounds, are satisfied, committed to, and engaged in their work. Describe any measures taken to address areas for improvement regarding DEI and their impact.
